Office now in thrilling silver!
Published on July 17, 2006 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News
Jensen Harris, a Microsoft UI developer, announced on his blog today that the third and final theme for Office 2007 has been finalized.  So now, in addition to the black and blue themes seen so far in the public beta builds, they've added silver.

On top of the new color scheme, several minor changes have been made to the "Northwest" corner of the UI, with further improvements promised before release early next year.

EDIT:It should say final theme has been revealed, not finalized.

No, it hasn't been 'finalized'. It's still being worked on

It's not too bad.

doesnt look that bad... i'd still prefer making my own skin for it though...

ok., i dont get it., so all Office like Word, Excel, Power Point.., etc., are gonna have different skins? or in other words, Office is gonna have its own skins, different from the Windows shell style?

Looks and works much better than Office 2003. For some reason, my wife's computer doesn't like Outlook and every time she sends or forwards an email, it jams up. I'm not having that problem on my computer, though. The interface is much simpler to use and attractive so I'll be at the front of the line to buy my copy when it becomes available.

thank - the - gods.

If it can't be skinned, i'm glad to at least have a silver theme, something neutrol. black was.. so so but blue was really getting to me.

i love the new way office is organized, but its not critical to me - i already knew where to find everything. Still looking for the big reason to update from 03.
