From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

The forum refresh, that first came to the main Stardock and Galactic Civilizations 2 forums has made its way to WinCustomize.com today.  After a great deal of feedback from users, the forums now more closely resemble other web forums in style and function.

We also hope that these new forums will alleviate some of the technical issues users had been experiencing in the past.  If you have any comments/feedback on the new forums, please leave them in a comment here.

#60 Brilliant Po! Thanks for the smile!

I can't get from one page to the other. For example in this thread, I can see posts 1-50, but then I can't change to 51-53. I tried it forward and backward, on the top of the page, as well as on the bottom. No go. Also, I can only post in advanced mode (otherwise I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"-error, and my line breaks don't show as well. Using Firefox 1.5.0.3.

We only support the latest version of Firefox. Please upgrade to 1.5.0.4. I am unable to reproduce an object reference error when posting a reply at the bottom of a post (not in advanced mode). Using Firefox 1.5.0.4.

Any way of customizeing the forum time stamps? I'm getting confused by dates when the month comes before the day.

Not at this time, no. Please post here for suggestions and the people who make the calls on new features will have a look at them. https://forums.wincustomize.com/?AID=124365

What the!? I hit reply in the new forum and all of a sudden I'm back in the old forum when it comes back up!? And yup...I can see I'm gonna really miss the old style forum.

Your browser may be holding onto an old cached page or css file. You might try clearing it. Also, there is no going back to the old style, and no way to view the old style any longer.

I am happy now. Posting using "post comment" works as well now and as you can see from above post, the line breaks are back. Go figure...

This is odd. The last post was through firefox, viewing the thread as an article with the old view. It worked fine. But whenever I try to post a post in the new forums with firefox I get:

thomassen, I implemented some additional error handling into the method that is throwing that error. However, we're unable to reproduce the error at all here. I even went so far as to clone your account in an attempt to duplicate the exact conditions.
