From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

On Tuesday, Microsoft launched the next version of it's Spaces blogging site, beginning the transition from MSN spaces for thousands of users.  However, the launch was not a smooth one and users experienced a number of performance-related issues.  In the first 12 hours, one could expect very slow server responses, if you got any response at all.  Microsoft acknowledged this issue on the Space Craft blog, the official blog for the Live Spaces team.

"We had a bunch of people working hard and late last night to address these issues that did not show up in any of our test environments" said Windows Live Spaces Program Manager Greg Phipps.

According to Microsoft Watch, more than 120 million unique Microsoft Spaces users per month access the service.
