From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
Microsoft marches on with it's seemingly endless stream of products bundled under the "Windows Live" brand.  Today, they released their latest tool, a blogging application called Windows Live Writer.  Like Stardock's own BlogNavigator, Live Writer is aimed at being a single application in which you can write a blog, and then automatically publish it to any number of public blog sites such as Windows Live Spaces, LiveJournal, Blogger, WordPress etc.  The tool integrates with other Live tools such as Windows Live Local to easily pull in maps to blog posts.

How this tool will stack up against the competition still remains to be seen.  Additionally, it's unknown if the application will allow for third-party modules to allow posting blogs to sites that aren't officially supported.
