The GUI Champs '06 marches on! Since Monday, you've been voting on Most Usable Wallpaper. Today, we're shifting gears a bit and begin voting on Most Original wallpaper.

Most Original Wallpaper

Usable was all about, well, usability. The Most Original Wallpaper event doesn't have anything to do with easy of use, icon readability or any of that other fuzzy feel-good sort of stuff. This event is all about pure "cool". What is the most outlandish, awesome looking wallpaper submitted to the competition? Which of the walls just screams "WOW!" at you when you view it? Which one is the most unique?

So go forth! Vote! Pick the sweetest looking wallpaper you can find in our ever-expanding competition library.

Voting for Most Original Wallpaper will continue through Sunday, October 8th. On Monday, October 9th, we will begin user voting on Most Usable Icon Set, and post the top-10 walls in both the Usable and Original categories for your review.

Well my vote is in. Wasn't easy by any means. But I picked a very admirable 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Best of luck to all of the artists involved. I hope to enter next year.

I voted also. There are so many great wallpapers there-- had to go over them several times, but the ones I voted for stood out from the start.
