PowerUser.TV Gets Spoofed
Published on October 10, 2006 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News
Some of you may know that every few weeks, we here at Stardock do a little podcast we like to call PowerUser.TV.  Recently it has shifted from a weekly audio show to a once a month video, once a month audio show.  Well, this shift didn't please the fans too much.  Despite the fact that they can now SEE Brad, Kristin and Derek make faces at one another, take shots of vodka mid-show and stare blankly off into space while the someone else is talking, they couldn't stand that they weren't able to get their weekly fix of podcasting shenanigans.  So, a few enterprising souls that frequent the PowerUser IRC channel (#poweruser on irc.stardock.com) have taken it upon themselves to create a semi-spoof podcast to fill in the gaps between the "Official" ones.

And so was born, Powern00bs.Net - Where Unprofessional Plagiarism Sounds Better!

So if you're looking for a goofy, off-the-wall podcast to go along with the not-exactly-serious PowerUser.TV, I highly recommend you check out Powern00bs.

And because I've been pestered about this endlessly since I was on PUTV Episode 50 or 51 (I can't remember which).. I have to give a shout-out to a few of the creative minds behind the spoof podcast: Word, Marcathonas and Smacklefunky.

From time to time, really funny and creative things pop up within our vast website empire, and though they don't all directly relate to skinning or customization, I think they're worth pointing out and linking to all the same.  If you see something especially creative or nifty that relates to something Stardock does, let me know at mikec@stardock.com and I may just post it around and give it some free publicity
