From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
It's time again to pimp some of the interesting things our community is producing.  I've posted about these guys before, but CerebroJD and DoctorNick, two of our forum moderators here at WinCustomize do this periodic podcast you might have heard of called Under The Skin.  Originally started by Paul Boyer, Doc and Cerebro have taken over and just this week posted Episode 15.

This episode is especially noteworthy because October Skinner of the Month, 47songs, is their special guest for the show!  Listen to CerebroJD, DoctorNick and 47songs talk about everything from 47songs icons and business ventures, to voicing their opinions on entries to this year's GUI Champs competition.

Head on over to UTS, and grab the latest episode.  It's obvious these guys had a blast recording!

I have to admit, I was hesitant about doing this podcast. I was originally asked by Zoomba to be a part of the podcast for just 10-15 minutes. I thought 10-15 minutes is quite do-able. Then Dr. Nick emailed me asking me to be a part of the hour long show! Yikes! I returned an email saying that I didn't think I'd have enough to say to help them fill out the hour. But, when it came to actually talking about Wincustomize and the great GUI Championships on the podcast, I felt an ease and acceptance from Nick and Justin that I hadn't contemplated. More than anything, I enjoyed a very relaxing and humorous conversation about a subject near and dear to all of us. Skinning.

I extend a huge thank you to Mike (Zoomba), Nick (Doctore Nick), and Justin (CerebroJD), for the opportunity to be a part of this discussion/podcast. I enjoyed every minute of it. And I assure you it had nothing to do with the wine!

Excellent interview Donna...I can even understand what you mean by having to make icons SO detailed technically - keeping them simple still makes them useful & often you can't see alot of fine intricate detail like lettering anyway. I never knew you were such a "guitar aficionado" collector!! Nice voice too - 5/STARS!

I've been as busy as all outdoors, but I've got to at least take the time to thank these wonderful WC members for their very kind comments.

George? Guitars are actually what got me started here in the first place! Heh! I discovered that having a guitar icon, which represented my favorite music/rock/guitar sites, helped me to distinguish one site from another. In other words, as far as strats is concderned, the black strat for the claptopn site and the red strat for the Mark Knopfler site.

VStyler? Such a great compliment from a great skinner!
Thank you!

And ID? I'm really glad you took the time to listen. And that you enjoyed it. I know that I had a great time during the taping of the show. Couldn't have asked for two better hosts.
