Dugg feels left out...

Two years ago today, Digg left beta status and was unleashed upon the world!  Today Digg is at the forefront of the social networking frenzy, focusing on peer-evaluated news content, with the theory that given enough eyes, the best and most interesting stories will filter to the top of the pile, resulting in better coverage of events that actually matter, and not just what individual media outlets want you to see.  Whether or not they've reached that goal yet is up for debate, but Digg is unquestionably one of the more entertaining sources for science and technology news, usually finding the more off-beat and quirky stories, and adds on a usually hilarious discussion in the comments section that ranges from timely and insightful, to absurd and border-line psychotic.

The Digg Dudes have a little blog up with a few statistics of Digg then and Digg now, might be worth a look.
