From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

Our month-long series, Touring Windows Vista, has finally reached its conclusion.  Over the past four weeks we've looked at the new UI, the Start Menu, the changes to the control panels and bundled applications, as well as the buried goodies for Power Users to play with.  All-told, if you printed the series out you'd end up with about 14 pages of text, and even at that length I didn't begin to scratch the surface of what's going on with Vista.

Today, I've posted my wrap-up and concluding thoughts on the OS and the series as a whole.  In general the series has been very well received and has been linked and referenced by many outside tech sites and communities.  I hope the series showed you at least one new thing you didn't know before about Vista, as that was my only real goal at the end.

I hope you enjoyed the series.  Time permitting, hopefully I'll be able to write more in the future.

Thanks Mike for the previews. I thought it was very helpful in pushing me a little more toward Vista. It'll be an interesting year, that's for sure.

I think I was already 'pushed' towards Vista....the lure of the new...

The articles certainly shed light on some of the more interesting 'bits'...
