From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

Windows Vista releases to the public next week, and a lot of us here in the skinning community are trying to get a grasp on what that's going to mean for us.  What are the technical hurdles?  Have certain aspects of the UI been locked away?  What are the changes?  There are a lot of questions floating around out there right now and most of us don't have a whole lot of answers.

To address this and hopefully spark more discussion, Brad Wardell has posted a 10-point article on UI Customization under Windows Vista.  He breaks it down by major UI category (icons, cursors, boot and logon screens etc.) and talks about some of the new challenges and opportunities available.  This thread is an opportunity to sit down with other skinners across our community here and discuss what's coming.
