Ever wonder what contributes to economic growth?  What is it that fuels our modern economy and keeps many of us employed?  According to a study by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, it's IT that has been the reason for nearly all economic growth in the past ten years, adding $2 trillion to the economy each year.  This is largely due to the integration of technology into virtually every aspect of the workplace.

That integration is happening at increasingly rapid speeds, with the actual adoption rates in the past few years far exceeding even the most optimistic forecasts at the height of the dot-com bubble in the late 1990's

So, if you work in IT in some capacity, you're helping drive the economy forward!  Now, go ask your boss for a raise.
