Another week, another poll. Last week I was trying to get a feel for how everyone uses DesktopX, whether they're mainly widget wonks, are the types to go in more for the full-desktop-replacement themes, or if they simply don't use the program at all. Well, the votes have been tallied, and here's the breakdown:
Widgets. |
41.29% |
|
Themes. |
28.41% |
I don't use DesktopX at all. |
29.17% |
What's DesktopX? |
1.14% |

So the majority of users look to be mostly focusing on desktop widgets, and an almost even split between people who focus on themes and those who don't use the program at all. Thankfully a negligible number of people were unaware of what DesktopX is period
This week we'll be running a short poll, just until Thursday. This is for users to vote on their favorites from the Community Challenge: St. Patrick's Day Icon Contest. There were five qualifying entries in the few short weeks the contest ran, and they're currently being voted on by the site moderators and administrators to determine the winner. However, it's always fun and worthwhile to see how the public side of the site feels about things. Below are a list of the qualifying entries with links to their submissions in the Misc. Icons library. Take a look at them, then vote on the poll.
This poll will run until I announce the official winners on Thursday, and we'll compare the results to the user vote.
The moderator vote will be the final and deciding one, but there might be something extra in the pot for the community favorite to sweeten the deal some

Check back on Thursday for all the results!
