Today there are two community articles I'd like to point everyone towards. The first is directly related to this week's poll summary about the Stardock Internet Chat server. In the news article I linked to a tutorial by IslandDog for using Stardock Central to connect, and left off with a note for the more experienced users to just pick their client of choice and point to our chat server. Well, that gap I left, not providing an explanation for non SDC users who want to come chat, was filled by forum and chat regular Bebi Bulma. Yesterday she wrote up a pretty detailed tutorial, complete with screenshots, on how to use the popular Windows IRC client, mIRC to connect and chat on the Stardock server.
So, if you're so inclined, and don't wish to use Stardock Central to chat with us, check out Bebi's tutorial here!
Next on the article round-up is yet another article by IslandDog. This time, he is asking the community what their graphics program of choice is under Windows Vista. It's a pretty short article, and he just relays his experiences trying out two different graphics apps on his Vista rig; Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 and Corel Paint Shop Pro XI. The real value of this article is in getting everyone else to chime in with their apps of choice, and any pitfalls they've encountered trying to do graphics work under Windows Vista. So, if you're a Vista user, or considering becoming one and want to know what the community mood is regarding graphics apps under the new OS, or if you have some experiences and thoughts you'd like to share, head on over and join the discussion,

Remember, we have a rather nice article system here at WinCustomize, and I'm always on the lookout for good community-written content to feature, both on the articles page, and here in the front page news. So if you've got an idea brewing in your head for an article, I highly recommend taking a stab at posting it. Well-written articles are almost guaranteed to be featured in some way or another. Don't just wait for Island Dog, Frogboy or myself to write on some topic, take the proverbial pen to paper and have at it yourself! It's always more interesting to read views and opinions from a wide range of authors than it is to see the same people post over and over again.
