From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
Here kitty, kitty, kitty...

Ok, outside of the iPhone release date, the weekend was pretty quiet for tech news.  So today you get a little bit of the weird news I come across in my daily browsing.

Sometimes, people just have way too much time on their hands and the results are some fairly strange and interesting projects.  Today, we jump on-board with the ever-growing cat photo craze (if you don't know what I'm talking about, be grateful) by bringing you a link to one of the weirder cat-inspired pages on the Internet.

If you own a cat, I'm sure you wonder what it does and where it goes during the day when it's not pestering you for food or attention.  If your cat is an outdoor one, the tale of its day is likely fairly interesting.  Well, one guy decided to track where his feline friend wandered during the day by attaching a small camera to its collar, and posting the resulting photos on his website.  Some of the shots are interesting and some are just puzzling (last shot on the first page has some random light in a dark area, no clue where or what it is).

The linked article is from Digg, since the original page has been flooded by traffic.  The comments area has plenty of links to mirrored copies of the photos and pages for your cat-browsing pleasure.

Hey, I said it was a slow news day, didn't I?

I liked the fact that some clever chappy some time ago determined there was a computer-user issue with cats inadvertently walking all over the keyboard and inputting random text....so he devised a 'filter' that could detect text typed by a cat's foray across the keyboard and thus eliminate the 'problem'.

So....

Methinks the chap needs to be dragged out screaming into the real world....or better...to a rubber room...
