From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
So painful to watch
Published on July 11, 2007 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News

Since the iPhone came out a week and a half ago, all sorts of review sits have been putting the device through its paces, trying to find its limits.  Most notably, many sites have done their hardest to actually destroy the phone, to see how well it will stand up to the average clumsy user.  PC World tossed it around, tried gashing it with keys etc.  Ars Technica dropped it off a 3 story building and dumped it into a toilet.  They cover the most common potential mishaps your phone could encounter.  However, they overlook one major catastrophe: a blender.

The popular Internet video series "Will it Blend?" set out to discover exactly the results of placing a $600 telephone in a high-powered blender.  The results?  Well, you'll just have to check the video to find out.

His fame may just pay for that phone ya know......People like Apple might just send him a new phone or hey he had insurance and said darn, I ran it over with the car after leaving it on the roof of the darn thing, oh I am such a dope, then this Big Rig ran it over and I knew I was lost. Ya just never know.

The price of the blended iphone is now almost $400, but you get some extra with it. I'm planning to buy a blender from him. I want to blend my house and put it on Ebay. It will be easier to ship and cheaper. What a great way to save money

Now bidding at $455 and there's still 8 days and 22 hours left. What people won't buy (although, you also get a blender). No worse than someone spending $10.50 on a paper airplane there.

I wonder how many iPhones will end up in the freezer....being I've known a few people who arrived home and put their mobile phones (along with other items) in the freezer while hurrying to putting away the groceries/frozen goods.

That's just stupid...

Not nearly as stupid as paying 5 or 6 hundred dollars for a freakin' PHONE, for crying out loud!

My first phone....'killed' it when I fell off my bike one time, landing on it...hip-to-ground....it still worked 99% ...the only thing it refused to do was actually 'ring' to let you know you had a call.....so if you were willing to sit and watch the screen it was fine...

It cost more than USD 600 equivalent, even way back then....

This was my first ...'almost' indestructible.

...until I deliberately dropped it from an 8-storey building, to test the theory.

..was past it's 'use-by' date, anyway. The old battery wasn't recharging anymore, and I wasn't able to find a replacement.
