From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

This week we're going to revisit the WinCustomize Wiki and all the great work our community has put into it so far.  Each day this week we'll be highlighting one outstanding Wiki article, and one of our more active contributors.  We feel that this Wiki represents one of the most promising new resources for the Skinning community and want to promote the efforts of our contributors as much as possible.  Your work is invaluable in making the site all it can be.

We start off this week featuring the WindowBlinds Wiki Page, and star contributor BebiBulma.  Click here to read more!

Wiki Stats

Since we launched the Wiki just over two months ago, we've seen great growth and activity.  To give you an idea of where we are, here are a few quick statistics on the Wiki:

  • 67 Articles Contributed
  • 267 Files Uploaded
  • Nearly 54,000 Page Views
  • 1,665 Article Edits (3.58 edits per article)
  • 146 Registered Users

Going forward we want those numbers to keep climbing!  We want to see more common questions get referred to a relevant Wiki article contributed by a member of the community.

Wiki Moderators Needed

While it's great to have people come in and edit the Wiki whenever they have a free moment, we want a few more dedicated individuals who will take it upon themselves to keep an eye on what is edited, and identify areas that need work and try to either add the content themselves, or work with other members of the community.

Ideally, someone from the Wiki Moderator pool would eventually be made the Community Project Manager for the Wiki and be given a great deal more responsibility and freedom in expanding and managing the site.

If you're willing to be a Wiki Moderator, email mikec@stardock.com with the subject "Wiki Moderator"

Sorry for a duplicate post

1.  Be willing and able to contribute new content for the Wiki.  We want new articles added regularly.

2.  Be able to update/edit older articles as new information becomes available.  We don't want information getting out of date.

3.  Be fluent in written English.  Since English is the primary language of the Wiki, any moderators will need to be fluent in its use to write content that is easily readable by most visitors.
