From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

Sometimes there are folks in the community that don't turn out the high-profile items like WindowBlinds skins, or Icon Packages, so you might not necessarily have spotted them.  But just because you don't know they're there, doesn't mean they're not incredibly valuable to the community through their contributions.

Master Apprentice sViz is one of those you may not yet know, but she's someone you should definitely take note of.  A member here for about a year and a half, she has jumped into the world of DesktopX gadget coding and theme building, and has taken what she's learned and worked to teach others by writing many tutorials and contributing heavily to the WinCustomize Wiki.  sViz is the perfect example of how much a single member of the community can contribute, even over such a short period of time.

My bet is that we'll see a lot of great work from sViz in the months and years to come.

Whoa, this is quite unexpected! Really, the credit goes to this amazing community. I have to thank everyone who reached out and helped me get started in DesktopX and everyone from whom I've learned so much in the last 18 months. Thank you all for your support and friendship. You really have no idea how much of a pleasure it has been to be a part of this community and to get to know the wonderful people here. I hope I can continue to make useful contributions as long as I'm around. You all rock!

Truly a well deserved feature & member of the community.

A good example of why she deserves to be featured is also in her reply above. Between her tutorials, wiki contributions, DesktopX creations and forum contributions her positivity and creativity is infectious.

I feel all warm & fuzzy inside. Way to go.

Her attitude in general is actually what made me most want to feature her and her work.

So often we find people on the forums grousing about this or that and not DOING anything to make the site or the community better.  sViz is one of those who sees a shortfall on the site and does something to help fix it instead of just point it out and complain.

It's an attitude I really wish was contagious
