From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

Yesterday, Brad Wardell wrote and posted an article here on WinCustomize titled "Ten Cool Things about Vista you may not have heard of".  It was a quick run through of some of the little-known but incredibly useful features hidden away in Windows Vista.  If you're a Vista user, or considering making the switch, I would highly recommend the article.  If you're interested in a much longer and more in-depth look at Vista, there's also my original set of "Tour" articles from earlier this year (get the all-in-one version here)

The cool part is that MaximumPC.com picked up the article and featured it in a round-up news article last night.

The article was also featured on Activewin.com, Digg.com and Neowin.net

Hehehe... guys, it isn't the first time MaxPC has either posted an article in their mag about WB or recommended it to its readers!! Some of them use it themselves on their personal systems.

I knew I subscribed to MaximumPC for some reason.

Morpheous416 you're right there, an another magazine they publish Windows XP: The Official Magazine also has recommended WB and other Stardock products for customizing your desktop. Got to love it.

From the olden days...though it was read, seemed to spawn no discussion.

It used to be a decent magazine. Way too much advertising and not enough magazine left in my opinion.

bmetelsky to some extent I agree with your comment on the magazine, now their website is a different story. Have you checked it out lately?

I still buy PC Answers [an English mag] ....because way back when....[around the dawn of Wincustomize] it had a section called 'Extreme Customizing' which often featured SD's products......though its author was a wee bit anti-SD [just a little]....

You know,,i beta tested Vista and in all respect, Vista is nice and is worthy to Upgrade to, but like a lot people before me and now will still say XP is our OS of choice....when I get a computer with vista on it, thats when I will chuck xp or keep it for backup..But I wont rush into it!

Its like foreplay, you cant rush into it or it wont be as good!

and as far as the mags, I read PC world,, they already have cited stuff on vista and pretty much wore out the topic! plus i think all the hype and trashtalk surrounding Vista is good!...look at it this way,, without Constructive Bashing no company would get anywere! it takes a bunch of problems to break a bunch of problems as i like to put it....you know...learn from your mistakes!
