We're off to a great start!
Published on November 5, 2007 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News

The first weekend of the WinCustomize Charity/Subscription drive has now passed and it's time to review the numbers.  After just four days, we've already gained a lot of ground towards meeting our $5,000 charity and 2,000 subscription goal.  Response to what we're doing has also been great and I've got a pile of emails from people all over the community asking how they can help out more.  I am humbled by the generosity you all have shown.  It's the people on this site, and how they come together when called on that honestly makes this job so great.

For the Monday status update....

As of end-of-day Sunday, we are currently at:

  • Subscriptions: 195 (9.75% of goal)
  • Charity Dollars Raised: $636.68 (12.73% of goal)

We are averaging almost 49 subscriptions, and $159 per day.  If we maintain a steady rate, we will reach 2,145 subscriptions and $7,003.51 raised for charity, completely blowing our targets out of the water.  Great progress so far, but we have to keep it up!  Later this week I'll have a new opportunity for people to support the drive who already have subscriptions renewed for the next decade or so, so stay tuned for that.

I had to log out the other day to do a test.  I hadn't realized that there were so many ads. (Not that they are over-the-top or in-you-face, but golly . . why would you want them in your way?  )

Subscribe!

The community here needs to keep this going strong by finding new members. It's nice that folks are subscribing for years in the future and buying Master Skins.

If all the current members would just get one new subscriber, shouldn't be that hard.

I've got $20 burning a whole in my pocket, who want's it!

Yes, word of mouth can be very useful.

I would recommend other members to post news about this on their blogs, etc.  That is what I have done.

I think if turbo and quest will be release as a premium skin, probably u will invite lots and lots of people. It will be a big boost for the project.
