Updated Totals & Community Donations
Published on November 7, 2007 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News

We're 6 days into the drive, and here's the progress so far:

  • Subscriptions: 254 (12.70% of goal)
  • Charity Dollars Raised: $832.58 (16.65% of total)

At current daily rates, we will end up with 1,862 subscriptions and $6,105.60 raised for Childs Play.

The Community Gives Even More Back

Since we started the drive last week, several community members have come to me asking if they can donate subscriptions to give away to those in the community who don't already have them.  So not only are these individuals supporting this site and supporting Childs Play, but they're also supporting other folks within this very community!

BX has a thread going titled "Talk and Win (WC Charity Drive)" where he started off saying he would donate a subscription to the person who posted the 100th comment on the thread.  Almost immediately, Fuzzy Logic stepped in saying he would donate one as well to the 200th poster.

I have a growing stack of donated subscriptions to give away, so I am going to give one out to the 300th, 400th, 500th, 600th and 700th posters on that thread.  These subscriptions were donated anonymously.

Lantec will be giving a  subscription to the 800th poster.

All you have to do is jump in on the thread and have some fun.  Just click here.

If you want to donate a subscription to be given away, just drop me an email.  They can be done on the condition of anonymity, or I'll gladly credit you with any donation you make.

Woot: So cool to be able to post that Zoomba - it just keeps on getting better.

For us Brits it's a brilliant exchange rate at the moment - it only works out at about £5.00 per year. Around these parts, they call that 'cheap as chips'.
