With ObjectDock!
Published on November 27, 2007 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News

Another news bit from the wire yesterday is that the Crave blog over at CNet UK threw together a great article on how to make your PC much more Mac like, if that's your thing.  Mentioned in the article specifically is Stardock's ObjectDock as the best tool for emulating the OS X dock on a PC.

"One of our favourite features of OS X is the dock, a customisable taskbar that you can anchor to any edge of the screen, and even set it to duck out of sight when not in use. This gives you a good chunk of extra screen real estate, otherwise taken up in Windows XP by that horrible excuse for a taskbar.

Stardock ObjectDock brings some of that dock goodness to Windows..."

Despite a few typos in the article itself (it calls the product ObjectBar at one point), it's still great to see that other people agree with us on how great ObjectDock is and how much value it can add to your PC.

If you're of the persuasion that wants to Mac-ify their Windows PC, check out the article for the rest of the tools and tricks they suggest to start the transformation.

Saw that article yesterday, love the last line, go buy a Mac. Which always make me think whenever an article like this shows up, if you like a particular OS why not just go get it. It really isn't the look that they are after now is it? Or maybe it's just an envy thing and they want people to think they have it.

I wonder if there are people out there with multiple virtual deskstops, one each that looks like Vista, XP, Mac and who know's Linux, and they switch for whom ever might be watching them. Could that even be done?

I thought even the XP taskbar has the hiding capability

And the article is how many years late to mention the ObjectDock?
