From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
Ok, maybe that wasn't so great...

Two weeks ago I tossed up a poll to get a feeling for how I did with our first attempt at a live video stream.  Turns out that I did even worse than I thought as the majority of votes were for something in the range of "Oh my god, that was horrendous" or "I didn't watch"  Here's the pretty picture...

To those who didn't like the show, I'd be interested in hearing feedback or suggestions on how to make it better.  It was my first attempt at anything like that, and I admit to not knowing what I was doing.  But the plan is to keep at it and we want to improve as much as we can.  So any feedback is much appreciated.

Zoomba, it was, as you say your first attempt, it was also our first viewing and we all were probably wondering what was expected of us.

Reduce the time (hour is too long, half an hour could be to short), add some structure for about a third (you present news, update info, etc.). Have one quest to talk about what they are working on and the rest of the time left open up to questions from viewers.

The more live shows you do, the better the viewers will become with their questions.

Philly had some good ideas... I did get to watch part of it. And I agree with a lot of what Philly said. But it was your first attempt, don't give up yet. It will get better each time you do it and perfect it...

He just needs a good co-host to crack some funny jokes.

Yeah, I recommend Chris Rock for co-host.....

And I watched it (the replay, not the live) and althought it was a little long, I thought it was pretty good for a first show, Zoomba. That's how I voted, too.....

Or at least one to laugh at his bad ones.

Or maybe one to make worse jokes (flash to Arsenio Hall). Take some of the heat off.....

Okay, so when is the next WinCustomize Live Episode scheduled for? I need to start working on some questions. These things take time, as you know, and I want to be prepared.

Definitely don't give up on it. I got to watch some of it on the reply....but only because of time and others things I had going on. I'm sure for some people it might have been a time issue...but for your first shot at it I think you did ok. I'd like to see how future ones pan out.

Maybe some dancing girls in the background next time would help.
