From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands

We've organized several contests in the past few years.  Maxthon, Dreams, Icons, and of course the GUI Champs.  The one thing to keep in mind is that all of these were planned, organized and executed by WinCustomize and its staff.  While these contests tend to have great prizes, there isn't a whole lot of opportunity for community involvement.  We run them, you submit skins, we judge and award prizes... contest ends.

Well, community member BX has stepped up to organize a community-driven contest.  Prizes, judging, organization etc are all being handled by members of the community.

Events:

  • WindowBlinds
  • IconPackager
  • CursorXP
  • Object Dock

Go here for the full set of rules and details.  The contest officially kicks off on February 15th.

Now wouldn't it be just lovely that more people enter the contest than you can shake a stick at?

I wonder if anyone is starting to put entries together yet?

Just think of all the new skins the community will have to customize their desktop with.

   Really, no questions from anyone.

I guess all the folks that plan to submit entries to the contest must be getting a head start.
