From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
Now with video!

G4TV's X-Play recently reviewed Twilight of the Arnor, giving it an incredible 5 out of 5!  Like just about everyone else who's reviewed the game, they loved the tech trees, the increased galaxy size, improved visuals & performance and even the new content creation tools.

Since it's X-Play, there's also a video review...

Ooooh, pretty pretty...

Congratulations, you certainly deserve the acclaim. We would like to see multiplayer too! Even just real hotseat play would tickle me pink!

Congradulations . You guy deserve it.

The only thing that I found irritating was the complaint for no multiplayer. It seems to be a common annoyance with reviewers. But hey its still a reasonable review.

Also did anyone else notice that the text review alluded to galciv III - I think they might be mistaken about it being next in the pipeline.

Congrats, Stardock; you've done it again!

Yeah, I saw that too. Unless Brad knows something we don't, then I agree there was a miscommunication somewhere along the way.

I bought the expansion a few days ago, and yes, it's great. It really completes the GalCiv2 experience in many ways. A few more patching fixes, and it's perfect...

While that was annoyingly predictable, the most irritating part of the video was that woman's voice - is she some kind of robot? Why are all video reviews done by people who sound (and look) like they live in their parents basement?

Wow.. She's amazing. You should watch some more xplay stuff, not just reviews =P
Imo she's one of the funniest / best reviewers out there.
"Whats a girl gotta do to get some khaak around here?"

You have to see it.

But i agree, Stardock why cant we just get a simple hotseat multiplayer mode in a patch?? Would it be so impossibly time consuming to do a strap of code to just let the player play as 2 races at once?

Good job Stardock.

However, I don't like X-Play. Adam is plain stupid. Morgan is a plain airhead. X-Play is way too silly at times, with the game parodies and stuff like that. They need to be more serious.

Baleurion: I have to say I disagree with you about Morgan being a good reviewer. She's stupid in my opinion. As the whole thing for the Kha'ak (X3 is the best space sim ever), all that got from me was a great big eye roll. Okay, I'm done venting.

Good job Stardock. God knows what the PC game industry would be like without you.

Probably even more sunk into their false religion of the Starforce & Securom gods.

I'm really not surprised. ToA is an amazing expansion pack.

At the moment this game is tied for the highest score on metacritic... Granted there are several reviews still pending, but the fact that its even in the running is pretty cool. Congratulations stardock! Here's hoping you guys sell boatloads (And we get more content cause of it!)
