From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
Published on June 4, 2008 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News

We're constantly featuring articles written by members of both Stardock and the larger WinCustomize community.  We look for interesting pieces about skinning, the community or technology in general.  This week in particular there have been some great articles I want to feature more prominently.

ID's May Roundup Blog

A great synopsis of what ID's been up to across the skinning community in the last month.  This month he talks about the WinCustomize Podcast, the status of his SkinStudio 6 tutorials and all the fun he's had playtesting The Political Machine 2008.

Wulfn1's Skin Thoughts and Reviews

Community member wulfn1 continues her weekly skin review article this week taking a look at some skins by loracnamwen, Will Rose, kittymalone, Rycher, ModBlackmoon and buzzh58.  I'm really enjoying this regular feature and it's great to see wulfn1 take the initiative like this.  I wish more people would start their own weekly/monthly features on the site.

Help with the "Windows UI Taskforce"

An article by Island Dog that hopes to enlist people in a new initiative to collect and document all known UI quirks in Windows Vista.  The project is run by long-time Windows Community activist Lon Zheng of istartedsomething.com.  It's an interesting project that I think a lot of people here could contribute to.

Thank you Zoomba for the wonderful recommendation! I think we're going to have an alternate "vista" review , hopefully weekly, made by Wizard1956. Since I don't have the program, I can't comment on the beautiful and varied skins created for Vista, so I have asked if any would step up, and Wiz volunteered!! Won't it be great to see the contrast between what you can do in xp vs what can be done in Vista!?
