i became a celtic fan back in the day of russell and hondo. it continued thru cowens, nelson, and bird. once bird retired, i was strictly a pacers fan. we know how bad they've become, don't we? well, at least reggie was always a class act.

anyway, congrats to the celtics altho i don't like pierce's post game comments regarding the teams prior to this year's. he could've handled things much better.

I'd get the theme but I'm not that big of a fan for Celtics.

I grew up watching Bird, McHale, and Parish back then. It's great to see Celtics back on top after a dismal season. I knew once the Finals was set in stone that I want to see Kobe get his rear-end kicked... bad... I suppose Celts did it in game 4 (comeback) and in game 6 (blowout). Some amusing numbers for ya: Celtics win 17th championship. Game was played on June 17, 2008. John Havlicek, a Celtics great, attended the game. His jersey is #17 17 + 17 = 34, the number Paul Pierce wears.

35 years here. I remember my dad and I sitting on the bed listening to Johnny Most on AM radio. It's nice to watch the games on 52 inches of HD glory, but man I miss those days...
