It's getting harder to find content worth reading
First off, yes, I know this article falls in the category of "noise" 
Now, this is a separate complaint from the issues we used to have with people flooding with advertising spam. This is an issue of there just being a ton of useless crap being posted. The main reason I like this site so much is because of the general high-quality of the articles and comments. Though I disagree with many of the opinions of people like DrGuy, Moderateman, drmiller or heck, even Brad himself, I can still expect a very civil and intelligent discussion with them. I can also expect their articles to be thought provoking.
Now, we have articles about sex, the angsty issues of high school students, writings from what seems to be a barely literate Jesus freak (as in a kool-aid drinker). You know what it's starting to look like here? LiveJournal.
Maybe this is a side effect of the site growing. Maybe it's because the elections are over and we're running out of controversial things to talk about. Maybe all the interesting writers used up all of their interesting thoughts. Who knows, I just pine for the days even a few weeks past before we got flooded with what we have today. It's getting harder and harder to find anything interesting to read here.
Here's hoping that the boring people fade away
