The Space Shuttle Discovery successfully landed at Edwards Air Force Base in California this morning, marking the first successful shuttle mission to space since the Columbia disaster two and a half years earlier.

Now that we've gotten one back safely, maybe we can step things back up and get us back into space on a regular basis!

Yes please!

And I'm very glad they are back safely.

We can all now heave a collective sigh, whew! I'm glad they arrived safely.

As for getting out there (in space) more often, NASA really have a lot of ground work to do to ensure the safety of the space program and the safety of the crew. There were comments on the news that this was actually the first trip that NASA was able to see what really happens to the shuttle when it lifts off and when it's out in space. Information and data that they'll be able to review and make changes that will guarantee the safety of the space program.
