A new freebie, and an update for WinCustomize Subscribers
Published on October 12, 2006 By Zoomba In WinCustomize News
Two updated versions of Stardock's Halloween themed desktop are available for download now.

The first is a visual style package that includes everything you need to change your user interface into a scary Halloween look - including the software! You do not have to own any Stardock software in order to download and apply this great skin. The Halloween desktop includes the updated R.I.P. visual style, a wallpaper, and some fun ghost and jack-o-lantern gadgets that make eerie Halloween sounds when you click on them!

You can get the skin here.

The R.I.P. visual style (previously a subscriber only resource) has been upgraded to an entire suite available ONLY to WinCustomize subscribers! It includes the updated R.I.P. skin (compliments of the great MikeB314) that incorporates a globe start button, per-pixel log-off and shutdown screens, a subscriber only wallpaper, icon set, a clock gadget and a calendar gadget.

If you are a subscriber, download your new updated R.I.P._2006 suite now by going here.

The included R.I.P. suite icons are a modification of Mormegil's Apogee icons. Like the icons in this suite? Then you'll love the Apogee icons! Click here to learn more.

Where is the link to download updated essorant skin pack? I don't see any.
on Oct 12, 2006

So sorry Mr Moletai and anyone else who tried that. I have corrected the information in the body of the news item. It now reads:

"To get the updated skinpack you should go into Stardock Central and re-download the pack OR you can get a link to download it by going to www.stardock.com.support and our system will send you an e-mail with all of your account information and links."

Please let me know if this doesn't work.

well, the suite is awesome, but i don't see any gadgets that make any eerie sounds, just a calendar and clock. are those missing?

WebGizmos, it's not really an update to Apogee, it's a bonus set of Halloween themed Apogee icons. They're included with the suite, which you can find under Subscriber Resources.

Prophetizer, the gadgets that make the eerie sounds are part of the free Halloween desktop. See the first link in the article, just below the "eerie sounds" bit.
