From technology to politics to video games; these are the random thoughts of a geek with too much time on his hands
And oh so much more.

This year, we're bringing back the WinCustomize Subscription Drive.  It's now been just over two years since the last time we made a dedicated push/appeal to the community to help support the site.  It's especially important this year since we've added Dreams to the vast pool of available content to download, which are very storage and bandwidth intensive, which of course is pretty expensive.

But this time around we're doing something a little different.  It's not just a subscription drive this year, it's something much bigger and more important.  We've even enlisted the participation of several of the site's Master Skinners to help us out.

The big kick-off will be this Thursday, November 1st, so be sure you check back then for the full details.  I'm pretty excited about what we're doing this year, and I think you will be too.

I corrected it now. Thanks for the catch!

I corrected it now.
So does that mean it *won't* work with Win3k?

And wouldn't Vista be better than 2000 twice?

System Requirements:

  • Windows 2000/XP/2000
  • 256MB Ram
  • Internet Connection

I was seriously considering a subscription until I uploaded ‘Glass Citrus Treat’ and started being slammed by ‘mightdave’ and ‘MountainHawk’ over differences in my art and their opinions. Now Iain, AKA MountainHawk has become a common troll on my uploads. And mightdave likes to come around and knock my ratings down. In the past I have changed my user name to get away from such mentioned buggers. I would love to buy the desktop package for $49.00 and a membership but may change my user name again before I do. Much success with your drive!!!

Is this offer for wincustomize subscription renewals?
on Oct 31, 2007
And those who have already renewed Wincustomize subscription (since the beging of it indeed) as well as the ODNT one, but to early, will win as well a "Magic suite" which they'll have to pay ??

You can always subscribe early to get any extras.  What's it matter if you are subscribed until 2015?  You got yoru swag!

figuring in inflation up to 2015 you would be saving money by buying now.

It's probably got to do with the fact that WB6 is out. I think when you just buy WB and not an ODNT subscription, you're good until the next version comes out.

I'm not going to do so if my money will be wasted on a site that I have to write my own hacks for to have working in my browser of choice.

I only have the trial version (I don't get paid til tomorrow   ), yet I haven't had a single problem with any WC or SD product/component. Funny the only people who really complain are the ones who end up with the word hack in their posts........
