And oh so much more.

This year, we're bringing back the WinCustomize Subscription Drive.  It's now been just over two years since the last time we made a dedicated push/appeal to the community to help support the site.  It's especially important this year since we've added Dreams to the vast pool of available content to download, which are very storage and bandwidth intensive, which of course is pretty expensive.

But this time around we're doing something a little different.  It's not just a subscription drive this year, it's something much bigger and more important.  We've even enlisted the participation of several of the site's Master Skinners to help us out.

The big kick-off will be this Thursday, November 1st, so be sure you check back then for the full details.  I'm pretty excited about what we're doing this year, and I think you will be too.

Sounds like it'll work! Im a definite supporter! I had one of the very first programs that let me skin my computer back before 1999 or 1998.
it was version 1.3
its was very old school due to the fact that it was only capable of changing color schemes and fonts in the GUI.

.....Point is, I will try to get my friends to buy subscriptions and my family as well!

Stardock, Wincustomize, and the comunity that surrounds this stuff, has made a ton of users all over our nation and even around the globe, turn their computer into something pleasant to have!

Just wanted to take alittle bit of time and say "YOU ROCK WINCUSTOMIZE"!

Sincerely,
Sublime20

What ever it is, sign me up, send me what ever freebie you want.

I'll have to remember to stock up on the popcorn that I'll need while I read all the forums posts whinning about I just renewed my subscription. That's not fair!

Hi Mike,
How have you been?

Shoot me an email at some point so we can catch up.

If I can get some kind of guarantee that the next version of WinCusto will not be the horrible mess of HTML hacked to work in a few select browsers — instead relying on a stable code base with decent amount of respect paid to well documented standards and having a bare minimum of hacks to work around browser *cough*IE*cough* bugs — then we'll talk about me resubscribing; I'm not going to do so if my money will be wasted on a site that I have to write my own hacks for to have working in my browser of choice.

Really, that bad, well I wouldn't spend you hard earned money either, especially if you have to hack the program.

Personally, I consider the last Sub Drive a real success in terms of community spirit. We may not have brought in thousands of new subs but we certainly showed what kind of people the WC membership is made of.

Awwww man i just bought WC last month then bought another sub to extend it to i think will it be 2010, so let me be the first to start whinging on missing out on some freebies, which by the way was the reason i bought my 1st copy of WC in the first place was to get the freebie blind or whatever that came with it ,as for the rest of my whinging rant just use your imagination i can't be bothered typing

I also signed up for the Wincustomize Subscription thinking that the Magic desktop was a freebie for subscribers not just for those who have Object Desktop. GRRRRR.

But as a long-time user of Stardock products, it was still a good use of my hard-earned money.
