For those of you interested, our friends at Neowin tipped us off to the fact that Microsoft is putting up the final version of IE 7 for download today. As of this moment, it's not posted yet, but it should be available for download from the Microsoft site before the end of the day. It will be bundled in the update pack for the November Patch Tuesday for those of you who just want to wait for the automatic download.
We've seen articles, television shows and interviews about someone being the hair stylist to the stars, the limo driver to the wealthy, and even the parole officer to the convicted. However, that sort of fame and fortune has been beyond the grasp of most of us lowly computer folks. Well, no more! Buckingham Palace has been looking for someone to manage the computer systems across the royal household of Queen Elizabeth II. So some IT wonk (or wonkette) out there could be the ...

Some of you may know that every few weeks, we here at Stardock do a little podcast we like to call PowerUser.TV . Recently it has shifted from a weekly audio show to a once a month video, once a month audio show. Well, this shift didn't please the fans too much. Despite the fact that they can now SEE Brad, Kristin and Derek make faces at one another, take shots of vodka mid-show and stare blankly off into space while the someone else is talking, they couldn't stand that they ...
Despite all the fanfare over the GUI Champs, life does go on here at WinCustomize. So it's another week, and we're back again with another poll. Last week I just wanted to take a poll to see whether or not the daily news that I've been posting to the front page has been worthwhile and enjoyed by you, the reader. We got a lower vote turnout this week than usual, but that may be because the poll is no longer directly displayed on the front page. 111 of you voted, and it see...
When the GUI Champs '06 were announced late this past August, we made mention of some premium sponsors that would be handing out some of our top competition prizes. We've already announced NVIDIA/EVGA sponsoring the prizes for the Most Original Visual Style and Most Original Icon Set, so that only leaves one prize, and thus one more premium sponsor to reveal. We are extremely happy to anno...

Well, the New York Times went and confirmed the rumors on Friday after talking with several people close to the deal. It is stressed that the deal is in the very early stages at the moment and nothing is definite. Google is just the latest in a parade of companies to visit and chat with YouTube in recent months.
